The Artist’s Way

I’m always studying something. I can’t seem to stop myself, and I’m not sorry. My sister, @sierrasroot, recommended The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. Jumping on all my sister’s recommendations, I ordered my own book right away (I chose the set that came with the Morning Pages Journal).

This is a 12-week program and I am loving it. More than just inspiration (which can ultimately lead to procrastination), Cameron helps artists find themselves or unstick themselves. I highly recommend it.

As I consider things that distract me from my artistic works, I get frustrated. I want to do so many things, but they simply cannot be done at the same time, dang it! Am I the only one who can’t decide which project to work on because I love three at the same time? Let me know in the comments if you have a secret decision-making method. Anyway…

I have Parable Park, which we’ve been talking about, and I have four novel manuscripts, which I’ve been quiet about. Why? you ask.

I DON’T KNOW!

But I believe I need to get to work on them. They are stories I absolutely love. Parable Park is meant to have old-timey serials; meaning chapters of my books to read each month. That will get me writing!

Meanwhile, I will keep up my part time job, The Artist’s Way study, and the Digital Marketing course I’m finishing up this month for certification. Because, you know: always learning.

Next up, I do want to show you those parts of Parable Park, and I will! I just wanted to share the Artist’s Way with you. Because it’s neat. And please do leave a comment and let me know what batch of projects leaves you undecided in each day’s choices. What are you working on?

I believe in you.
